Exquisitely hand engraved with a scrolled ornamentation framing a central Maltese Cross shaped motif centred with Roses (for LOVE), all on mellow hued 9ct Gold. A watch style locket such as this was immensely fashionable at the time and was oft worn on a long chain tucked into the waist. This lovely example is one of the nicest we've had the luck to find, and it opens just as a watch does with a glassed space for a favourite photograph or keepsake. 

It measures 4cm across the face. It weighs 11.7 grams.
